Open study material
Use RES-T with learning material such as PDFs, notes, textbooks, technical documents, or research files that you are allowed to study.
RES-T app documentation
RES-T is a Mac study companion for reading, notes, flashcards, quizzes, vocabulary, and focused AI help. This guide explains the current app, the early-access launch, and the privacy expectations for users, families, and schools.
Quick start
Use RES-T with learning material such as PDFs, notes, textbooks, technical documents, or research files that you are allowed to study.
Use document search, page navigation, and chapter-style organization to find the section you want to review.
Turn the current reading context into notes, explanations, flashcards, quizzes, vocabulary practice, and review prompts.
Use typed or voice questions to ask for explanations, examples, and review help tied to your study workflow.
Video walkthrough script
This is the recording plan for the RES-T launch video. It can be used for a screen recording, voiceover, or App Store preview once the final build is ready.
"Welcome to RES-T from RISI AI LABS. RES-T helps you turn reading into notes, flashcards, quizzes, vocabulary, and focused study questions."
"Start by opening a PDF or study document you are allowed to use. RES-T keeps the study session centered on your current material."
"Use search, page controls, and chapter selections to move to the section you want to understand or review."
"From the reading context, build notes, flashcards, quiz questions, and vocabulary so review becomes active instead of passive."
"Ask a focused question by typing or using the microphone. RES-T is for explanation and practice, not for replacing your own work."
"Check important answers, keep private records out of the app and feedback emails, then tell RISI AI LABS what worked and what should improve."
Main app areas
Read study material with search, page navigation, document context, and chapter-style movement where available.
Capture important ideas while studying and keep your review organized around the material you are reading.
Practice active recall by converting important concepts, definitions, and facts into review cards.
Check understanding with practice questions that help reveal what needs another review pass.
Ask for explanations, summaries, examples, and study prompts without turning the session into unfocused chat.
Pull out terms, definitions, and concepts so dense material becomes easier to review later.
Voice and AI
Microphone access is used only when a user chooses to ask a question by voice.
Apple system speech tools may be used for voice input or playback when available on the device.
Kokoro voice technology is being evaluated for future voice output, but App Store release builds keep experimental Kokoro support disabled unless RISI AI LABS explicitly enables it after review.
Privacy expectations
RES-T is designed as a local-first study app. Users should avoid putting sensitive personal or school records into documents, prompts, notes, or support emails.
Responsible learning
Ask for explanations, summaries, practice questions, vocabulary help, and review plans after you read the material.
Do not use RES-T to impersonate a student, bypass school rules, submit generated answers as your own, or process restricted documents.
AI can make mistakes. Always verify important academic, legal, financial, medical, or safety-related information with a reliable source.
FAQ
It includes PDF reading features, but RES-T is more than a reader. The goal is to connect reading with notes, flashcards, quizzes, vocabulary, and tutoring support.
The first launch focus is the Mac app. A hosted SaaS version is planned later after product feedback, privacy review, payment setup, and production infrastructure are ready.
RISI AI LABS can discuss a controlled pilot. School use should stay focused on approved learning material and should avoid sensitive student records until a full school privacy review is completed.
Email hello@risiailabs.com with your device, macOS version, what you were studying, and what happened.
Use the TestFlight beta section. The public Apple invite link will be added there after App Store Connect approval.
